|William “Willie” Parker, 49, of Broken Bow passed away Monday, December 4, 2006 at Idabel. He was born September 23, 1957 at Idabel to Betty Bunn and Theodore “Ted” Parker. He lived most of his life in McCurtain County.
William was affiliated with Faith Assembly of God Church in Idabel. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing his guitar. He served in the U. S. Air Force. At various times he was a paramedic for McCurtain County, on the police force in Durant and Idabel, was a lab technician at Mcurtain Memorial Hospital and worked at Norwood Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Kristie LaDae; half brothers, Julius Weaver Cook, Jr. and James Troy Cook.
William leaves to cherish his memory his sons and daughter-in-law, Keith and Renee Parker of Broken Bow and Chance Parker of Idabel; their mother and her daughter, Peggy and Kaitlyn Parker of Idabel; biological mother, Betty Morris of Holly Creek community; his mom and dad, William and Daisy Nix of Broken Bow; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sarah and Bob Tidmore of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Debbie and Stan Miller of Rattan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry Nix of Broken Bow, Glendell and Cindy Nix of Oklahoma City, and Kent and Carey Nix of Broken Bow; half sisters, Gay Ann and husband Dean Graham of Dalhart, Texas, Mary Grace Voit of Buffalo, Oklahoma, Becky Jo and husband Danny Clayton of New Mexico, Julia and husband Randy Bristow of Amarillo, Texas and Mandy Jean Collins of Buffalo, Oklahoma; grandmothers Mary Bell Bunn of Holly Creek and Adell Nix of Broken Bow; grandchildren Mikayla and Randy Spencer; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends at Colonial Lodge.
