| Beth L. (Chupp) Browning, age 51 passed away Friday evening, September 5, 2008 at her residence in Southport.
She was born September 2, 1957 in Franklin to Col. Robert F. and Alberta B. (Terrell) Chupp. She lives in the heart of her loving and devoted husband of twenty-eight years David A. Browning. He survives in Southport. Beth was much loved and cherished by her mother: Alberta B. Chupp of Franklin and an inspiration to her children: Megan J. and Jason A. “J.B.” Browning both of Southport. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters: Georgiann (Wen) Wei of New Hartford, New York and Mary (William) Meredith of Morgantown; father in law: Donald E. (Roxanna) Browning of Sarasota, FL. Beth will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father: Col. Robert F. Chupp who passed away November 15, 1995. Beth was the Salutatorian of the 1976 class of Franklin High School and went on to receive her Bachelors of Science Degree in Communications and English Literature with honors from DePauw University in 1980. Beth retired in 2003 from American General Finance in Indianapolis as a Customer Service Representative after twenty-four years of service. She was a fifty-one year member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin and Alumni of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Beth had a passion for cooking, gardening and a love for music. She enjoyed swimming and boating with her family and attending her children’s activities. Beth loved her golden retriever “Shelby”. The Rev. Roy Ice will conduct a funeral service 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. in Franklin. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Beth to the Robert & Alberta Chupp Scholarship Fund for the Journalism Department of Franklin College, In care of Meredith-Clark Funeral Home PO Box 308 Morgantown, IN 46160.
