Myrtle E. Baldock, age 87, of 512 Summit St. Plymouth, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday May 21, 2008 at the Sharon Richardson Hospice in the Town of Sheboygan Falls.
She was born on May 8, 1921 in Loyal, WI daughter of the late Paul and Lydia (Utech) Mayer.
She attended grade school in Loyal and graduated from Random Lake High School.
She married Clyde B. Baldock on October 25, 1947 at St. John Lutheran Church Sherman Center. He preceded her in death on May 13, 1976.
Over the years Myrtle held many jobs including, HSA Bank, Hotel Mitchell, The Village Inn, Bordens, and the Plymouth School System working in food service. The employment that she will be remembered for by many is that she waitressed at the Bar-B-Que in Plymouth for over 35 years.
She was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church Sherman Center and a current member of St. John Lutheran Church Plymouth, where she served as a greeter, volunteered for funeral luncheons, and also worked for the church booth at the Sheboygan County Fair. Myrtle also volunteered at Rocky Knoll, was a member of the Greenbush American Legion Auxiliary Post 261, the Thursday morning coffee club, the Plymouth Senior Citizens, and AARP.
She is survived by 5 children, James (Kathryn) Baldock of West Bend, Ron (Judy) Baldock of Plymouth, Larry (Judy) Baldock of DePere, Barbara (Terry) Schmidt of Kiel, William (Laura) Baldock of Plymouth,
6 grandchildren, Brian (fiance Susannah Nelson) Baldock of Bartlett, IL, Sara (Dan) Baltus of Plymouth, Corrie (Justin) Everts of Baldwin, WI, Mark Baldock of Pewaukee, Christopher (fiancÚ Jill Young) Baldock of Minneapolis, MN, Megan Baldock of Milwaukee, 3 great grandchildren, Alexis and Broden Everts, and Jaren Baltus, 10 step-grandchildren, Amy (Kevin) Kempf of DePere, TJ Schmidt of Tempe, AZ, Jeremy Schmidt of Plymouth, Nathan Stroschein of Chilton, Tara (Nick) Karls of Stockbridge, Rebecca Stroschein of Sheboygan Falls, Spring Stroschein of Chilton, Nicholas (Anna) Stroschein of Fort Atkinson, Michelle Bielinski of Milwaukee, Michael (Melissa) Bielinski of Saukville, 4 step great grandchildren, Maggie Lovelle Kempf, Ellie Baltz, Garret Karls, and Owen Stroschein, 2 sisters, Mickie (Jerry) Lockman of Sheboygan, Mary Ann (Frank) Seitz of Dewey AZ, and a sister-in-law, Marion Mayer of WA. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 sisters, Marcella Smith, Malinda Wilk, Melva and Marie Mayer, 4 brothers, Milton, Marvin, Martin, and Melvin Mayer, 3 brothers-in-law, John Smith, Fred Weber, Edward Trott, 2 sisters-in-law, Vera and Audrey Mayer and a step-grandchild, Jennifer Schmidt.
Funeral services will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth with the Rev. Thomas Burton officiating. Burial will take place in the Woodlawn Cemetery on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 11 AM. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Sunday from 1 PM until the time of Service. Wittkopp-Schneider Funeral Home is assisting the family. A memorial fund will be established in the name of Myrtle E. Baldock.
