Mrs. Rebecca Diane Sellers Jones, 62, retired Administrative Assistant at Columbia State Community College, died Friday, October 9, 2009 at her residence on Vaughn Road.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Pastor Larry Kayser officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Monday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Columbia State Foundation, Columbia State Community College, in memory of Rebecca Diane Jones, 1665 Hampshire Pike, Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com.

The Davidson County native was the daughter of Mary Reavis Sellers Prentice of Madison and the late Leslie Sellers. She was a 1965 graduate of Isaac Litton High School in Nashville. In 1997 she earned an Associate of Science Degree from Columbia State. Mrs. Jones was very devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved baking and her bible study and attended Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband, Neil Jones of Columbia; three daughters, Lisa Martin (Greg) Mathews of Franklin, Neely Jones (John) Anderson of Nashville, Jena Jones (Jeremy) Dost of Atlanta, Georgia; one son, Les (Lindsey) Martin of Nashville; two sisters, Kathy Sellers of Nashville and Sarah (Danny) Gholson of Amelia, Virginia; and nine grandchildren, Zach Morgan, Shelby Mathews, Sam Mathews, Matthew Boyd, Thalo Dost, Cy Dost, Elliana Scott, Ethan Martin, and Livian Martin.

Pallbearers will be Greg Mathews, John Anderson, Jeremy Dost, Zach Morgan, Danny Gholson, and Matthew Boyd.
