"With Love and Honor"

To help families of veterans find lasting and appropriate ways to memorialize their loved ones, Aurora Casket Company has introduced an innovative program that combines personalization with meaningful support for organizations that meet the needs of and honor those who served in the U.S. armed forces. Under this program, Aurora Casket Company has made a donation to the American Red Cross this year to honor the veterans Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors were honored to serve. Aurora Casket sent a certificate, acknowledging the contribution, to Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors and they presented these certificates to the families on Veteran's Day. Each certificate specifies the veteran's name and the name of the organization to which the contribution was made. The certificate is presented in a handsome portfolio suitable for display as a loving tribute to the American veteran. The certificate reads

"The soldier, above all other people, prays for peace, for he must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war." - General Douglas MacArthur

"The trust families place in Oakes & Nichols as well as Aurora Caskets is truly a honor and we hold that trust in the highest regard. Oakes & Nichols has been a part of our community for over 150 years and we are humbled by the trust and confidence the families of Maury County and surrounding counties place in us."
