Norman B. Christensen, son of John A. and Johannah (Nielsen) Christensen, was born September 11, 1921 in Cass County, Iowa. He attended school at Lake Center School.
On March 14, 1942 Stub was united in marriage to Betty J. Olson in Maryville, Missouri. To this union two children were born.
Stub was inducted into the United States Army on August 14, 1942 serving in Italy during WWII. He was honorably discharged from the service on December 2, 1945.
Stub farmed near Ruthven for many years retiring in 1983. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ruthven and the Ruthven American Legion.
Stub died Monday, April 24, 2006 at his home in Ruthven, Iowa at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; seven brothers and five sisters; and a great granddaughter, Grace Christensen.
He is survived by his dedicated companion, Lorraine “Sis” Birchard; his children, Donald Christensen and his wife, Evanell of Clackamas, OR and Delores Kraft and her husband, Harley of Dickens, IA; five grandchildren, Ronda and Brent Mortenson, Mark and Tracey Kraft, Kim and Warren Tolman, Debra and Scott Holas and Darcy and Veronica Christensen; ten great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Agnes Christensen of Michigan; as well as many other relatives and friends.
