On January 4, 1985 God gave Robert Joseph “B.J.” Biddle to Philip and Ann Biddle of Emmetsburg, Iowa. He was the third and middle blessing to the Biddle family. B.J. loved his family and loved the Lord with all of his heart and soul and mind (Matt. 22:37). He spent his younger years in Emmetsburg, developing his passions for hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with his family and his life passion of serving the Lord. From an early age B.J. was blessed with a family legacy that instilled a love for the Lord and living life according to His word.
B.J. later received a calling for missions and full time ministry. After he graduated from high school in 2003, B.J. proceeded to North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While at NCU he took every opportunity to fulfill the great commission which is to go and preach the gospel to every nation (Matt. 28:19). In high school B.J. went on his very first mission trip to Mexico and little did he know then that God was setting the stage for his future. From there B.J. took advantage of every opportunity he had to travel the world bringing the gospel to others. In 2004 and 2005 he went on missions trips to Vietnam and Thailand to minister to children and to smuggle bibles into foreign lands. He was preparing to lead a third trip in February 2008.
In between smuggling bibles and schooling he found time to enjoy life. He loved to hunt with his dad, brother and sisters. He loved to be in Boundary Waters Canoe Area with his family and friends. He loved to fish and canoe and camp and sit around the fire playing his guitar out in “God’s Country” as he called it.
In 2001 he met and fell in love with Megan Rosacker of Ruthven, Iowa and in 2005 they were engaged to be married. They shared many passions and loved spending every second together.
B.J. graduated college in May of 2007 with a Pastoral Studies Degree. He was making plans to obtain his pastor’s license. He was extremely active in the church, playing guitar in the worship band, preaching at surrounding churches, teaching Sunday School and leading the youth group at New Hope Community Chapel. B.J. was a man after God’s own heart. He loved God and he loved his family and he always found a way to combine them in everything he did.
Grateful for sharing his life are his parents, Phil and Ann Biddle of Emmetsburg, brother Josh, Jessica and niece Faith Biddle of Emmetsburg, sisters, Jennifer, Melanie, and Sarah Biddle all of Emmetsburg, fiancée Megan Rosacker of Ruthven, grandparents Rev. David and Roberta Biddle of Emmetsburg, grandparents Gerald and Delores Stroud of Graettinger as well as many more family and friends.
