| | | Jean R. “Juner” Blake, son of George H. and Edith (Cox) Blake, was born January 12, 1945 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He graduated from West Bend High School in 1964. Following graduation Jean attended Emmetsburg Junior College.
Jean was employed in the construction business and had just sold his business in January 2007. He retired and was living in Carefree, Arizona where he enjoyed golfing and hiking. Jean always enjoyed his trips back to Emmetsburg to visit his brother and see old friends.
Jean died Monday, November 19, 2007 in a hiking accident near Carefree, Arizona at the age of 62. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard “Dick” Blake.
He is survived by his brother, Jack Blake of Emmetsburg, Iowa and a sister, JoAnn Blake Landis of Delray Beach, Florida.
