Reinhold Andrea (Andy) Anderson was born September 11, 1922 to Axel and Hilma (Pierson) Anderson in Ruthven, Iowa. He attended country school in Clay County, graduating from Ruthven High School in 1940.
In April, 1944, Reinhold was united in marriage to Eva Rose Wilcox and to this union was born three children, Carolyn, Dennis and Jane.
Reinhold was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ruthven, serving as head usher for many years. He lived and worked in Rockford, Illinois for two and a half years returning home to help his father with the farming. He worked on the railroad for two years and then for John Morrell for twenty six and a half years in Estherville, Iowa.
With woodworking as his hobby, Andy made many things for many people and churches.
After retiring and a few health problems, Andy and Rose moved to Atlantic, Iowa to be near their son. They were associate members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Atlantic.
Reinhold was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Rose, infant daughter Carolyn, his parents Axel and Hilma and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Esther (Swede) Allen and Clara (Iver) Holmgren.
He is survived by his son Dennis Anderson and his wife Fran of Atlantic and his daughter Jane and her husband Jerry Baedke of Plano, TX, four grandchildren, Travis and Laura (Hiscock) Anderson of Omaha, NE, Sara Anderson of Mansfield, TX, Matt Anderson of Kansas City, MO, and Jason and Julie (Baedke) Brooks of Allen, TX, three great grandchildren, Kennedy and Morgan Anderson, and Brandon Brooks, two nieces, Sandra Allen Parrish and Martha Allen Hansen, and one nephew, John Hufford, along with many other relatives and friends.
