Richard Button, son of Donald P. and Ruth (Flaskey) Button, was born November 21, 1941 in Newcastle, Wyoming. He graduated from Mobridge High School in 1960. Following graduation Richard attended college in White Bear Lake and Anoka Ramsey.
Richard served four years of active duty in the United States Navy and sixteen years in the Air National Guard. He was employed as a printer. Richard was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He truly loved the outdoors.
Richard died Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the age of 65. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Donald Button and a son, Jason A. Button.
He is survived by a son, David A. Button and his wife, Doretta of LeMars, Iowa; three grandchildren, Jacob and Jax Button of Phoenix, Arizona and Ian Button of LeMars, Iowa; a brother, Donald Button and his wife, Janice of Estherville, a very dear friend, Mary Mertz of Emmetsburg, IA; as well as many other relatives and friends
