Cobleskill- Martha E. Ilowiecki, 71, formerly of Cobleskill, died Monday, September 28, 2009 at Countryside Care Center in Delhi, NY where she had been a resident for the past few years.

Martha was born May 1, 1938, in Schoharie, a daughter of Guy and Lillian (Cartwright) Lawyer.

She resided in Cobleskill most of her life and had been a dishwasher for Catered Affair Unlimited in Cobleskill.

Her family, especially as each new grandchild was born, was her joy.

She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, who died in 2001, and a son, Henry Guy Ilowiecki, who died in 1984.

Survivors include her daughter, Dania Ilowiecki of Sharon Springs; her son, Frank L. (Bonnie) Ilowiecki of Howes Cave; two brothers, Donald Lawyer of Central Bridge and Kermit Lawyer of Cobleskill; seven grandchildren: John Henry (Cheryl) Ilowiecki, Beckie Ilowiecki, Kasie (Ryan) Gaydovchik, Jamie Sisson, Megan Ilowiecki, Frank L. Ilowiecki, Jr. (Christina Pratt), and Kailey Ilowiecki; and seven great-grandchildren: Kiegan Ilowiecki, Savannah and Faith McFarland, Kayla Ilowiecki, Rhyan Gaydovchik, Leena Sisson, and Sebastian Ilowiecki.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Zion Rural Cemetery, State Route 10, Seward, NY. Officiating will be Rev. Pam Mikel Hayes of the Cobleskill United Methodist Church. At the family’s request there will be no calling hours.
