| | | Middleburgh: Mrs. Rose Giblin Petersen, 87, of State Route 30, died Saturday, August 8, 2009 at her daughter’s home where she had resided for the past nine years.
Mrs. Petersen was born January 20, 1922 in Central City, PA, a daughter of Frank and Katherine (Radyk) Ulan.
She retired from Central Suffolk Hospital where she was employed as a licensed practical nurse. Rose lived in Clifton, NJ and Long Island before moving in with her daughter in Middleburgh.
Rose was the loving wife of late Frank Giblin and the late Jack Petersen. She was also predeceased by her son, Timmy Giblin.
She was a devoted mother to Michael (Vera) Giblin of Pompton Plains, NJ and Karyn Giblin of Middleburgh; grandmother to Jason, Kerry, and Jessika and great-grandmother of three; sister to Kathryn Korin of Bayonne, NJ.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, 170 Lexington Ave., in Passaic, NJ. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Clifton, NJ.
