| | | Mrs. Nora A. Johnson, 86, formerly of Middleburgh, died Monday, April 27, 2009, at Queens Hospital Center.
Mrs. Johnson was born December 23, 1922 in Baldwin, NY, the daughter of Jessie and Christina (Hansen) Carman.
She had resided in Middleburgh since 1985 and attended the Pilgrim Holiness Church. In 2006, she and her son moved to Jamaica, Queens, NY where she joined the First New York Bible Missionary Church. Mrs. Johnson also enjoyed cooking.
Her husband, Douglas C. Johnson, Sr., predeceased her on March 6, 1988.
Survivors include her son, Douglas Johnson of Jamaica; granddaughter, Joyce Marie Willey; grandson, Paul Douglas Johnson; and great-grandson, Mark Anthony Willey, all of West Jordan, Utah.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River Street, Middleburgh. Pastor Richard Owens of the Pilgrim Holiness Church will officiate. Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 6 to8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Middleburgh Cemetery.
