Rory W. Malone, age 53 passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009 by natural causes at his residence in Martinsville.

He was the Manager of the No Pawn Shop in Martinsville for the past five years. Prior to that, Rory was the owner and operator of J & R Body Shop in Martinsville from 1987 to 2007.

He was born June 25, 1956 in Beech Grove to Donavon C. and Harriett Gertrude (Crummrine) Malone. Rory married his loving wife Tabby R. (Presley) Malone on June 19, 1982 in Greenwood. She survives.

Other survivors include his mother: Harriett Gertrude Malone – Hacker of Spring Hill, FL; three daughters: Amanda O. Cox and her husband Jason, Jessica L. Malone and her fiancé Michael Cazzell & Megan A. Mattila and her husband Keaton all of Martinsville; one sister: Sharon (David) Trackwell of Southport; one brother: Garrett Malone of Martinsville; eight grandchildren: Brittany, Brooklyn, Jason Wayne, Tyler, Lucas, Hayli, Brodi and Braylee; several nieces and nephews.

Rory was preceded in death by his father: Donavon C. Malone.

He served as a Private with the United States Marine Corps. from 1974 to 1976. He later received an Automotive Technicians degree in 1977 from Ivy Tech in Indianapolis.

Rory was a member of the Martinsville American Legion. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog Mazy. Rory was a fan of NASCAR and enjoyed target shooting, gun collecting, playing his guitar and boating.

The Rev. Burt Brock will conduct a funeral service at 2 pm, Saturday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will be at Nineveh Cemetery in Nineveh.

Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Rory to the Martinsville American Legion, 701 E. Morgan Street Martinsville, IN 46151
