Tara L. (Slugantz) Bond, age 27 passed away Saturday morning, September 12, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Brown County.

Tara was born October 20, 1981 in Lexington, KY. to Alan and Julie (Riddell) Slugantz. She married her devoted husband, Jebadiah A. Bond on September 11, 2004 in Morgantown. He lovingly survives in Brown County.

She was much loved and cherished by her parents: Julie A. and Gary LaPorta of Martinsville, her father: Alan Slugantz of Salvisa, KY and her brother: Eric W. (Rose) Slugantz of Cincinnati, OH. She will be remembered by her in-laws: Jim & Donna Bond of Brown County; Maternal grandfather: Eddie Arnold of Madisonville, KY; grandmothers: Martha Rund of Morgantown and Jean Bond of Brown County.

Tara was preceded in death by her grandmother: Libby Arnold and grandfathers: Dale Bond and Melvin Rund.

She was a 2000 graduate of Brown County High School and attended Ivy Tech in Columbus for Phlebotomy. Tara was a member of the Morgantown United Methodist Church and a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Brown County. She enjoyed shopping, scrap booking, reading Biographies and listening to gospel music. Tara loved spending time with her dog “Daisy May” and living in the hills of Brown County.

The Revs. Roy Ice & Darrel Miller will conduct a funeral service 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Morgantown United Methodist Church, 20 E. Washington Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday evening at the church. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.

Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Tara to the New Life Community Church “Celebrate Recovery” program” 1450 St. Rd. 135 N. Nashville, IN 47448 or the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Brown County, 10 Van Buren St. Nashville, IN 47448
