Robert W. “B.T.” Thompson, age 55 passed away Saturday evening, May 16, 2009 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He was a resident of Brown County and former resident of Greencastle.

He was born June 9, 1953, in Chicago, IL to the late Robert Franklin and Shirley (Sennitt) Thompson. He was reunited in marriage with his first wife of sixteen years Gloria J. (Richardson) Thompson on August 8, 2008 in Brown County.

He was a 1971 graduate of Brown County High School and was certified in Scuba, E.M.T. and was a licensed pilot.

B.T. worked in Dietary Services at the Brown County Health & Living Community in Nashville for the past year. Prior to that, He worked as a truck driver for Warner in Indianapolis and as a Radio Announcer for W.R.E.B. in Greencastle.

He enjoyed reading Cat Who Books, riding his motorcycle, fishing and scuba diving. B.T. loved to visit flea market and have cook-outs with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife: Gloria J. Thompson of Brown County; two sons: Tony (Chris) Thompson & Thomas (Kacee) Thompson all of Brown County; two daughters: Roberta (Steve) Mitchell of Brown County & Vanessa Thompson of Greencastle; one sister: Dawn Thompson of Merriville; three grandchildren: Christian Sizemore, Mason Thompson & Devin Smith all of Brown County.

The Rev. Darrel Miller will conduct a funeral service 7 pm Wednesday night at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
