| | | Vicki M. (Cole) Dowell, age 53 passed away Tuesday evening, January 6, 2009 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was a resident of Bean Blossom in Brown County.
Vickie was born December 31, 1955 in Indianapolis to the late William and Gertrude (Milum) Cole.
Survivors include one son: Jason L. (Michelle) Dowell of Bean Blossom; one step-son: Jerry W. “Jay” Dowell Jr. of Bean Blossom; two sisters: Judy A. Leech of Brown County & Pauletta Peel of Indianapolis; two brothers: John E. Cole & Buddy Cole both of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Jerry W. Dowell on November 17, 2002; two sons: Gary Michael Lynn and Jeremy Wayne Dowell.
Vicki was a loving and devoted mother to her son Jason. She worked as a waitress for the Bean Blossom Inn in Brown County from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, Vicki worked in the Canteen Snack Bar at City County Building in Indianapolis from 1992 to 1995.
She was a NASCAR fan with her favorite driver being Kasey Kahne and also a fan of the Indianapolis Colts. Vicki enjoyed watching poker on television, scrap booking and spending time with her dog “Smoke”.
The Rev. Rick White will conduct a funeral service 10:30 AM Saturday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Burial will be at Weeping Willow Cemetery in Brown County. Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
