| | | Romilda "Ronnie" Torres Wilkening 51, passed away Friday evening, January 13, 2006 at Select Hospital of Beech Grove. She was a resident of Morgantown. She was born May 26, 1954 in Newark, New Jersey to Thomas Sanchez & Louise Torres. She married Neil N. Wilkening on Sept. 16, 1998 in Gatlinburg, TN. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Christopher Cabrera; three sisters, Sister Helen Sanchez M.P.F., Laura Dewes and Nancy Marie Gonzalez; one niece and four nephews; caregivers: Jody & Lane Law and Donna King. She was a 1972 graduate of Villa Walsh Academy in Morristown, New Jersey. She retired as a Mail Clerk after 20 years of service with the US Postal Service in Indianapolis retiring in 2002. She attended St. Martin's of Tours Catholic Church, Member of the Morgan County Human Society, Martinsville American Legion Auxiliary Post #230. She had a great love for pygmy goats which she raised and let the children of the Johnson & Morgan County 4-H clubs use to show at the local fairs. She was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. Father John Hall will conduct a Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 18th at St. Martin's of Tours Catholic Church in Martinsville. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown. A Rosary service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 911 E. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46204-11840.
