Harry L. Adams, 73, died Saturday, June 18, 2005, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn. He was a resident of Kodak, Tenn., and a former resident of Morgantown.

He was born Dec. 14, 1931, in Connersville. His parents were Milburn H. and Martha (Wells) Adams. He married Bernice “Babe” Edwards on Aug. 26, 1955, in Long Beach, Calif. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Stephen Adams of Seymour, Tenn., and Robert Adams of Marysville, Tenn.; two brothers, Luther and Leon Adams; two sisters, Mary Van Vlack and Marty Hilbert; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, James W. Adams; and a sister, Helen Pauline Adams.

He was employed by General Service Administration in Indianapolis for 23 years, retiring in 1986. He was then employed by Ben Testerman Construction Co. in Knoxville, Tenn.

He was a member of Lakewood Masonic Lodge 278 F&AM in Lakewood, Calif. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years, including during the Korean War.

The Rev. James Brown will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home, Cremation and Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
