| | | John David Allison, 64, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at his residence in Brown County.
He was born July 23, 1940, in Indianapolis. His parents were James W. and Ruth (Wright) Allison. He married Janice (Burns) Allison on July 23, 1974, in Johnson County. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Lisa Simpson of Indianapolis, Stephanie Worgelman of Kokomo and Ann Worley of Augusta, Ga.; three sons, Roger Stickford of Bean Blossom, Kenneth Stickford of Edinburgh and David Allison of Kokomo; a sister, Erma Allison of Franklin; two brothers, Marvin Lee Allison and Richard Allison, both of Indianapolis; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Lyle Burns.
He was employed by John Cole Construction Co. as a union laborer, retiring in 1995.
He was a member of Full Gospel Church ofMartinsville and Laborers Union 120 in Indianapolis.
He enjoyed drag racing, circle racing, all kinds of masonry work and his collection of finch birds. He was a fan of Indiana University sports and the Indiana Pacers.
The Rev. Ed Tharp will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Thursday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation and Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park in Martinsville.
