| | | Myrtis D. (Sanders) Beck, age 68 passed away Thursday evening, December 18, 2008 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was a resident of Morgantown.
Myrtis was born December 9, 1940 in Brown County, IN, to the late Leslie J. and Marvel E. (Wesen) Sanders. She married Rhule E. Beck on January 15, 1960 in Brown County. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1998 after thirty-eight loving years of marriage.
Survivors include one son: Virgal “Leslie” Beck of Indianapolis; one daughter: Marvel Viola Beck - Butcher of Indianapolis;two brothers: Leslie Marlowe (Lois) Sanders and Richard D. Sanders both of Morgantown; seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son: Rhule Ed Beck Jr.; two sisters: Edith Mae Neal & Doloris Helle; one brother, Napolean Sanders.
Myrtis was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Apostolic Church of Morgantown since 1998 and was active in the Morgantown Senior Center. Myrtis enjoyed reading her bible and playing euchre.
The Rev. Raymond Dupree will conduct a funeral service at 2:00 p.m, Sunday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home, Cremation & Personalization Center 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Burial will be at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery in Brown County. Friends may call from Noon until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home
