| | | Elaine M. Blessing, age 53 passed away Saturday morning, August 30, 2008 at her residence in Union Township.
She was born February 15, 1955, in Beech Grove to Keith T. and Barbara E. (Dodd) Blessing. They both lovingly survive in Union Township.
Other survivors include two brothers: Keith T. & sister-in-law Sue Blessing Jr. of Unionville, & James A. Blessing of Indianapolis; two sisters: Lelani S. Blessing of Union Township & Mary A. Blessing of Greenwood; three nieces: Tonya Wayman of Whiteland, Jessica Wood of Greenwood & Heather Blessing of Bloomington; one nephew: Charles Blessing of Bloomington.
Elaine graduated from Southport High School in 1973 and went on to earn her Associates Degree in Accounting from Ivy Tech in Indianapolis.
She worked as a Mail Clerk from from 1995 to 1999 at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis. Prior to that she worked in the Tax Payer Service Department of the Internal Revenue Service in Indianapolis.
Elaine was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star of West Newton and Southport. She also was a member of the Johnson County Multiple Sclerosis Society. Elaine enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting, making rugs and pillows. She loved taking care of her cats, flowers and collecting figurines.
The Rev. Ben Swopes will conduct a Funeral Service 1:30 pm Wednesday at Meredith - Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
