| | | Particia J. “Pat” (Priest) Barley, age 69 passed away Thursday evening, January 3, 2008 at her residence in Morgantown. Pat was a former resident of Greenwood.
Born August 3, 1938 in Odon, she was the daughter of the late Paul M. and Jessie L. (Stoner) Priest – Dove.
Pat was a 1956 graduate of Elnora High School in Elnora.
She retired in 2006 as a Customer Service Rep. for St. Francis Hopsital in Beech Grove after 10 years of service. She also worked part time for J C Pennys in Greenwood from 1992 to 2005. Prior to that she worked for Anthem in Indianapolis from 1983 to 1996 in the Customer Service Department.
Pat was a 35 year member of the Amity Baptist Church in Amity. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter and a compasionate friend. Pat touched the lives of everyone she met. Upon retirement, Pat loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and bird watching. She will be missed by all those who knew her.
She is survived by three daughters: Sherrie K. (Alan) Ripley & Lisa R. (Steve) Barley - Yoder all of Morgantown & Kelly J. Dewitt of Bargersville; one son: Robert L. (Kristi) Barley of Terre Haute; one brother: Sheridan L. (Karlene) Priest of Bloomfield; Grandchildren: Jim Ripley of Morgantown, Robbie Hash of Bargersville, Nikki (Sam) Himebaugh & Paula (Jerremy) Neibert all of Morgantown, Tyler & Matthew Barley both of Terre Haute, two great grandchildren: Jackson & Lucas Neibert both of Morgantown.
Pat was preceded in death by her brother twin infant brothers .
The Rev. Bruce Bendinger will conduct a graveside service 3 PM Monday at the Second Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Odon.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 pm on Sunday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown
