| | | John Matthew “Matt” Tanner, 25, of Cortland, died at home Friday, September 18, 2009. The Trumbull County coroner is investigating the cause of death. He was born August 30, 1984 in Warren, the son of John T. and Diane (Smith) Tanner, and had lived in Trumbull County all his life.
A graduate of Lakeview High School, Matt had worked at Four Seasons Car Wash, Handyman Hardware in Cortland, and Cass Lake Recreational Park. His hobby was his aquarium, and he also enjoyed playing guitar and fishing.
He will be sadly missed by his parents, John and Diane Tanner of Cortland; his sister, Marie Tanner of Cortland; and his many other friends and family members.
Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Hillside Cemetery in Cortland, with the burial of his urn to follow. Material contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
