| | | Ethel Cunningham Heim, 96, of Norman, Oklahoma, and formerly of Warren, died quietly at the Cedar Creek Nursing Center in Norman.
Mrs. Heim was born September 15, 1912, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, to Harry and Rosetta (Berringer) Bittman. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School on June 5, 1930, and attended Warren Business College.
She married Wade Cunningham on May 7, 1936, in Akron, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on August 1, 1962. She married William C. Heim on December 18, 1965, and he preceded her in death on March 2, 1972.
Mrs. Heim was a member of First Christian Church in Norman, Central Christian Church in Warren, and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Morning Light Chapter #80, also in Warren.
Mrs. Heim was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, half-brothers, stepmother and step-daughter, Nancy Chess. Survivors include her step-son-in-law, Wayne Chess of Norman, Oklahoma; three step-grandsons, Greg Chess of Norman, Chasen Chess of Monument, CO, and John Chess of Rocklin, CA; eight step-great-grandchildren, William and Michael of Norman, Brianca and Kayla of Monument, CO, Bailey, Tommy, Danielle, of Rocklin, CA and Krystle Sanders of Norman; her half-sister, Norma Dapp of Cuyohoga Falls, OH; and many other family members and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren. Material contributions may be made to the Heartland Hospice, 1100 N Porter Ave. # 104, Norman, OK 73071.
