| | | Graden E. Hoover, 94, of Warren, died peacefully Saturday, July 18, 2009, surrounded by his family. He was born November 5, 1914 in Pierpont, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Myrtle (Leonard) Hoover, and had lived in Trumbull County for nearly seventy years.
Mr. Hoover had worked as a tool and die maker for Packard Electric, retiring in 1980 after 17 years of employment. He enjoyed dancing, restoring antique cars, and home repairs.
Surviving are a daughter, Jean (David) Ramsey of Howland; two sons, Fred (Ann) Hoover of Cortland and Gregory (Nancy) Hoover of Medina; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his close friend and companion, Alma Margrave. Preceding him in death are his parents; his wife, Margaret (Toth) Hoover, whom he married September 29, 1938 and who died February 2, 2002; five sisters; and three brothers.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at McFarland & Son Funeral Home, with Fr. Carl Kish officiating. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery. Friends may call 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
