Mary A. Collister, 97, of Warren, died peacefully Thursday, July 9, 2009 at home. She was born August 23, 1911 in Talladega, Ala., the daughter of John T. and Elizabeth (Sinnott) Barnes, and had lived in Trumbull County for over seventy years.
Mrs. Collister was a graduate of Montavallo College in Alabama and had taught the hearing impaired in the Warren City Schools. She had been a member of First Presbyterian Church of Warren and Junior Crafts. She enjoyed vacations and working around the house.
Surviving are her son, John T. Collister, with whom she made her home, and her daughter, Susan Collister of Chicago, Ill. Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, John Collister; and a sister, Elizabeth Barnes.
Services are private. The burial of her urn will take place at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland at a later date. Material contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 256 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren, Ohio 44483.
