| Marshall James Short, 72, of Clendenin, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston following a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Newman and Virginia Frances (Drennen) Short; brother, Jack Short; sister, Dorothy Juanita Criner; niece, Mary Hockensmith; and nephew, Christopher Short. Marshall is survived by his sons, Marshall James Short, Jr. and wife Connie of Clendenin, Larry Wayne Short and wife Sue, of Clendenin; brothers, Harry “Junior” Short, Jr., Douglas Short, both of Clendenin; sisters, Diane King, Violet Maxine Short, both of Clendenin; grandchildren, Anthony, April, Amanda, Emily, and Heather and her fiancé J.T.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marshall’s funeral service will be 7pm Thursday, August 9th, 2012 at Reamer Hill Community Church in Clendenin with Pastor Timmy Hobbs officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Matics Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. | ||
