  VIEW/SEND CONDOLENCES

Paul Eugene Cobb, 66, of Clendenin, passed away into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston following a long illness.
Paul was born in Clendenin to the late John Jackson and Gertrude Florence (Deel) Cobb. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Faye Deel Jarrett, Violet “Midge” Cobb Rader; and brother, Warren Cobb.
Paul, a Clendenin High School graduate, was retired from CAMC General Hospital after 30 years of service and was owner of Paul’s P et Store from 1973 till 1987. He enjoyed his animals and flowers at his farm in Little Blue Creek where he resided until his health began to fail a few years ago. Paul never left the farm so he could remain close to his animals.
Survivors include his sisters, Maye Deel Lipscomb of Pinch, Dolley Cobb Graley of Alum Creek, Joyce Ann Cobb Patton of Clendenin; brothers Johnny and Melton Cobb, both of Clendenin.
Most importantly, Paul is survived by his great friend and companion of 43 years, Herb Stevens, who was also his business partner and caregiver. They shared a lifelong friendship and enjoyed many vacation trips to their summer home in the Florida Keys.
Paul’s funeral service will be 7 pm Friday, March 16, 2012, at Matics Funeral Home in Clendenin with Pastor Junior Davis officiating. Burial will be at the Cobb Family Cemetery in Clendenin at a later date. Paul’s family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service.
