| Johnny Franklin Drake, 66, of Clay, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at home following a long illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Rebecca Hazel (Runnion) Drake; and step-father, Rome Hammack. Survivors include his wife, Vernetta Ann (Smith) Drake; son, John Lee Schwaiger and wife Tonya, of Elkview; daughters, Crystal Dawn Schwaiger Knotts of Calhoun County, Tracy Ann Schwaiger Roush of Roane County; brothers, Harry Hammack of Roane County, Danny Drake of Kenova; sisters, Barbara McPeek of KY, Norma Craig of Clendenin, Becky Drake of KY; grandchildren, Brianna, Hunter, Emily, Joseph, Isaac, Sierra, Jonathan, Cassidy, Brittany; and many nieces and nephews. Johnny’s funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Matics Funeral Home in Clendenin with Pastor David Craft officiating. Burial will be at the Adkins Cemetery in Amma. His family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. | ||
