WESTFIELD-Donald Paul Tefft , age 70 of Westfield and Sebring, FL, died Thursday, May 4, 2006 while in Florida.

Donald was Born July 17, 1935, in Ripley, NY the youngest son of the late Arthur & Inez (Powers) Tefft.

He graduated from Ripley High School in 1954. He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy on board the USS Champlain, the USS Intrepid and with Fasron Unit 106 in Argentia, Newfoundland.

Donald served with the New York State Police in both Troop A and Troop T, and received the New York State Police Superintendent’s Commendation Award.
He retired from the Troops in 1981.
He had been a Real Estate Agent for Beckman & Bertram, Director of Security for Job Corps, a US Rural Postal Delivery carrier and together with wife Patti, owned and operated Foggy Ridge Antiques.

Donald enjoyed many things, mainly family, golfing, fishing and poker. For the past 5 years, Donald enjoyed his retirement and many friends at Whisper Lake Park in Sebring Florida.

He is survived by wife Patricia (Tye) Tefft, his son Stewart and his wife Sharon Tefft of Busti, NY, and his three daughters Sandra Tefft of Dallas, TX, Lori and her husband John Zoda of Vero Beach, FL and Debbie Milam of Barbarton, OH, as well as his two brothers Robert Tefft of Sebring, FL and Harry Tefftof upper Saranac Lake, NY. He was the proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren – Rachel, Cassie, Stephanie, Zachary, Emily, Marlena, Mary Lou, John Jr., Julia and Hope.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Doris Burch, and his brothers Arthur, Willis, Roger and Charles Tefft.

Friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at 11 AM at the MASON FUNERAL HOME, 37 Clinton St., Westfield. Private interment will be in East Ripley Cemetery.
