WESTFIELD-Alfred Hoover Hall, age 71, of East Main Street, Westfield died unexpectedly Thursday, April 20, 2006 following a brief illness while on vacation in Florida with his family.

Mr. Hall was born April 22, 1934 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, a son of the late Harold T. and Mary (Kilgore) Hall.
Mr. Hall was a graduate of Proctor Academy of Andover, NH and SUNY Morrisville ATC. He had been the General Manager and Secretary / Treasurer of the Board of Directors of Growers Cooperative Grape Juice Company, Inc. of Westfield, NY for 38 years, a Grape cooperative founded by his Grandfather, the late James Taylor Hall in 1929. Al was totally devoted to his family. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Society of Westfield and a former member of their Board of Trustees, He was a member of Summit Lodge #219 F & AM of Westfield. He had served the Village of Westfield as a Village Trustee and was a former member of the Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club. Mr. Hall was very community and civic minded and was involved in many charitable organizations. He enjoyed birding and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years: Kay N. (Nundy) Hall, who he married on Nov. 26, 1960 his son: Alfred Hoover Hall. Jr. of Manlius, NY, his Grandson, Timothy Helmer-Hall of Brewerton, NY, his two sisters: Margaret Adelaide Kilgore of Santa Monica, CA, Mary Martha Kilgore Rice of Kennebunk, ME, as well as by many nieces and nephews and by all who cared deeply for him.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Donna Vorhees Kilgore Hall, his brother, James Taylor Hall, and his nephew, Jason Rice.

Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the MASON Funeral Home, 37 Clinton Street, Westfield, NY. and are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday at 2:00 PM at The First Presbyterian Church And Society Of Westfield, with Rev. Dr. Arthur Webster officiating.
Private burial will be in Union Cemetery.
