Obituary Notice Margaret B. Sottile Margaret (Baldwin) Sottile, age 84, of West Main Street, Westfield, NY, died Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at home with her children by her side. A Westfield resident since 1952 she moved here from Sherman, NY. Margaret had been the co-owner of the Red Barn Household Sales on Old Hawley St. in Westfield for many years with her late husband Joseph. She also was owner and operator of Margaret's Beauty Salon which was located first on Franklin St and then on North Portage St. both in Westfield. She was a member of St. James Major Roman Catholic Church, volunteered as a "Gray Lady" at the Westfield Memorial Hospital, was a member of the Women of The Moose Chapter 517, and The Wm. P. Jackway VFW Post 6764 Ladies Auxilliary, both of Westfield. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, artistic painting, flowers and gardening as well as playing the Organ. She enjoyed making her home inviting for her family. She was born February 25, 1921 in Conneaut, Ohio the daughter of the late Lynn and Clara (Lamb) Baldwin. Survivors include her 3 children: Donald Sottile of Dresden, NY, Patti Gundlach of Westfield, NY, with whom she made her home and Charlotte Amidon of Fairport, NY, her 7 siblings; Walter Baldwin Brighton, Co, , Beatrice Johnson of North East, PA, Glenn Baldwin of Vero Beach, FL, Robert Baldwin of Dunkirk, NY, Violet Racine of Leominster, MA, Mary Penna of Dorchester, NJ and , Eleanor Blue of Jamestown, NY. Margaret also is survived by her 12 grandchildren and many Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her father, Lynn Baldwin, and her mother, Clara (Lanb) Baldwin, her tow children; Ronald J. Sottile and Marjorie Taverna, as well as by her brother John Baldwin. Visitation will be at MASON Funeral Home on Friday, August 12, 2005 from 4 PM until 7PM Funeral services will be held privately with burial in St. James Cemetery in Westfield.
