John H. Ossman
John H. Ossman, 75, of Creamery Road, Westfield, NY, died Monday, July 19, 2004 at Westfield Memorial Hospital in Westfield, New York.
He was born August 31, 1928 in Westfield, New York the son of the late Frederick and Helen (Reynolds) Ossman.
A Westfield resident all his life, he was a graduate of Westfield Academy. He had attended the First Baptist Church of Sherman for many years. He had been a self employed grape and dairy farmer on Hardscrabble Rd. in Westfield for most all his life.
He was active in Community affairs. He was a founding member of CrossRoads Farm Market. He enjoyed his farm and his animals. He was very active in the planning and development of the Chautauqua Wind Energy project; a project he held dear to his heart.
Survivors include his wife; Irma (Broeme) Ossman of Westfield, NY, his 2 step-daughters; Margaret Emory of Findley Lake, NY, and Linda Sadler of Westfield, NY, his 10 Step-grandchildren and many Step-great grandchildren. Also survived by hi sister, Ruth Grono of Winterhaven, FL
He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Ossman, His mother Helen (Reynolds) Ossman, his 2 brothers; Richard Ossman and Howard Ossman and his sister Irene Way.
Visitation will be at MASON Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at The MASON Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Sears will be officiating.
Burial will be in the Westfield Cemetery..
