Joanne Marie Berkey



Joanne Marie Berkey, age 48, of East 4th Street, Erie, PA, died Friday, July 16, 2004 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania after being stricken at home.

She was raised in Westfield and was a graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School Class of 1974 and a Gratuate of Rochester Institue of Technology, and recieved her certification as a Radiologic Technologist in Connecticut. She had been a resident of Erie for the past year having moved here from Stamford, CT.
She was a member of the AART (American Assoc. of Radologic Technologists) and had been employed by St. Vincent Health Center in Erie.
Was a lover of all animals especially dogs. She was well loved by all who knew her. Miss Berkey lived in Erie, Pennsylvania for Erie since 2003 and was previously from Stamford, CT and Westfield, NY.

She was born June 23, 1956 in Erie, Pennsylvania the daughter of Margaret (Cohen) Jarmolowski of Westfield and the late Chester A. Jarmolowski.

Survivors include her mother
Margaret C. Jarmolowski of Westfield, NY, her 2 brothers; Dr. Chester R. Jarmolowski, MD of Pittsburgh, PA, and Thomas J. Jarmolowski of Boston, MA. Her 3 sisters; Mary Ann Krum of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Patricia Flanagan of Bethel, CT, and Peggy Sue Smith of Burlington, WI, Many nices and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her father, Chester A. Jarmolowski.

Visitation will not be observed.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 19, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Major RC Church. Fr. Daniel Young of St. James Major RC Church will be officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
