| | | MARGUERITE MANSFIELD AMORESE, age 88 years, a former resident of Whiteman Avenue, Elkins, WV and more recently a resident of Valentine’s Personal Care Home, Elkins, WV departed this life Friday morning, August 25, 2006.
She was born Saturday, May 25, 1918 at Evanston, IL, a daughter of the late Ernest Mansfield and Helen Mansfield. Surviving are three sons, Roger Amorese, Elkins; Carl Amorese and wife Rebecca, Elkins; John Amorese and wife Jane, Jane Lew; two grandsons, Preston Amorese, Philippi, Travis Amorese, Jane Lew, two granddaughters, Nicole Hudson, Fairmont, Shannon Amorese, TN and one great granddaughter, Aryssa Hudson, Fairmont.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Amorese and one sister Mildred Mansfield.
She was a graduate of Evanston High School and Northwestern University at Evanston, IL. She had worked as a State and Federal Court Reporter at Charleston, Elkins, Parkersburg and Wheeling. She was a former member of the Elkins Woman’s Club and the National Court Stenographers.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Monday from 5 to 8 PM. Final rites will be conducted from funeral home chapel Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at 11 AM. The Reverend Eli D. Hostetler will officiate and interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV.
