| | | DORCAS NAOMI WEESE BAKER, age 69 years, a native of Montrose, West Virginia and a resident of Houston, Texas, departed this life Wednesday morning, December 24, 2003, at the Northeast Medical Center at Humble, Texas, following a long illness.
She was born Friday, January 26, 1934, at Montrose, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Robert Roscoe Weese and Beulah Cevilla Murphy Weese. On September 19, 1967 in Rochester, New York, she was married to Johnny Baker who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Sheila Bird and husband Alan, Joshua, Texas, one sister, Drema Davidson and husband Clayton, Magnolia, Texas, two grandchildren and one great grandson.
Mrs. Baker had worked as the Secretary to the Director of Nursing at the John Hopkins School of Nursing at Baltimore, Maryland and was a member of the Leading Creek Primitive Baptist Church at Montrose, West Virginia.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins Monday, December 29, 2003 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. the funeral hour with the Reverend Velden B. Linn officiating. Interment will follow in the Montrose Primitive Baptist Cemetery at Montrose, West Virginia.
