| | | GEORGE ELLIS “PORGE” ARBOGAST, age 51 years, a resident of Cole Avenue, Elkins, WV, departed this life Thursday evening, August 16, 2007 at his home. He had been in declining health for the past five years.
He was born Friday, October 14, 1955 at Elkins, WV a son of the late Glenn O. Arbogast and Lillie Ryan Arbogast. On December 3, 2001 at Elkins, WV he was married to the former Lanette Young, who survives. Also surviving are one step daughter, Lanette Oxier, Keyser; three brothers, Dorse G. Arbogast, Files Creek; James B. Arbogast, Belington; Roger D. Arbogast, Elkins; two sisters, Emma Lucille Howell, Elkins; Thelma Frances Lanford, Jimtown; two step grandchildren, Brice Mongold and Katelynn Rice, both of Keyser; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are two brothers, Carl and Ronnie, one sister, June and one step grandson, Shane Rice.
George attended the schools of Randolph County, was a veteran of the United States Army, was a carpenter by trade, was an avid outdoorsman and loved motorcycles.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Monday, August 20, 2007 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, the funeral hour. Pastor Ann Fretwell will officiate and interment will follow at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV, where the H. W. Daniel’s Post # 29, American Legion and the Tygart’s Valley Post # 3647, Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct full military rites.
