Jean L. Coultas, age 83, of Freeport, Illinois formerly of Chadwick, Illinois, died Monday, September 14, 2009 at Provena St. Joseph Center, Freeport. Cremaition rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be in the Chadwick Cemetery, Chadwick on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimers Association, 4777 E. State St., Rockford, Illinois 61108 in Jean’s memory.

Jean was born on August 25, 1926, the daughter of Alvin George and Freda Louise (Frank) Queckboerner in Millidgeville, Illinois. She attended rural Beede School first grade through fifth grade and attended Mt. Carroll High School. Jean worked as a clerk in many local offices, and later went to work as a quality control inspector in factories. In her later years she was a home care provider.

Jean will be dearly missed by her son, Craig E. Lang of Lanark, Illinois; one sister, Judi Hughes of Normal, Illinois; and a brother, Everett (Doris) Queckboerner of Saxville, Wisconsin.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother.
