Marcella “Marcie” M. Humphrey, age 51, of Savanna, Illinois, died Friday, September 11, 2009, as a result of a car accident. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Law – Jones Funeral Home in Savanna. Cremation rites will follow. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2009, at the Savanna Township Cemetery, Savanna. Memorials may be directed to the family. Marcie was born on February 23, 1958, in Sterling, Illinois, the daughter of LaVerne and Betty Jane (Newton) Thulion. She attended school in Hanover. Marcy married Joseph Humphrey on August 27, 1982. Marcie worked at Dura in Stockton, Illinois, since 1991. She enjoyed bird watching. She especially loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Charlie. Marcie is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Joe Humphrey of Savanna, Illinois; four daughters, Michelle Thulion of Mt. Carroll, Illinois, Terri (Ron) Holland of Orangeville, Illinois, Theresa (Ubaldo) Rucobo of Savanna, and Amanda (Fiance William Parks) Thulion of Savanna; eight grandchildren, Olivia and Sienna Young, Hannah and Laney Holland, Erik and Carmen Rucobo, and Kailie and Karah Parks; four sisters, Rae Ellen Barnes of Savanna, Lisa LaCaze of Texas, Verna Starwalt of Louisiana, and Lela Granger of Louisiana; many nieces and nephews, and her dog Charlie. Marcie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Steven and Thomas Thulion.
