| | | Donald Vern Algreen, age 80, died at the Veterans Hospital in Knoxville, Iowa on Sunday October 19, 2008. Memorial services will be at 6:00 pm Thursday October 23, 2008 at the American Legion Hall in Earlham, Iowa. Military Rites will be held during the service. The family will greet friends following the service and share in food and fellowship. Donald was a farmer, mechanic and a school bus driver during his working career. He is survived by his daughter Kathryn Algreen of Pasadena, CA; his granddaughter Holly Algreen of Pasadena, CA; grandsons Paul Algreen of Boca Raton, FL, and Robert Algreen of Phoenix, AZ; and brother Lonnie Algreen of Martinsdale, IA. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and Vern and Edith Algreen, his wife Irma Algreen, two sons Mike and Jimmy Lee Algreen and a brother Lloyd Algreen. Memorials may be directed to the Earlham American Legion Scholarship Fund.
