Brenda Lee Pontow was born November 4, 1958 to David and Sylvia (Ross) Pontow at Granite Falls, Minnesota. She grew up in Trimont and graduated from Trimont High School in 1977. After attending Austin Community College for two years, Brenda earned hr LPN degree. She enjoyed reading, cooking, doing crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. Brenda died on September 25, 2008 at her home in Austin, Minnesota at the age of forty-nine years. Survivors include, her two daughters, Angela Schumm of LeSueur, Minnesota and Rachel Schumm of Faribault, Minnesota; three grandchildren, Sylvia, Lydia and Hanna; her father, David (Beverly) Pontow of Trimont, Minnesota; step-mother, Dawn Pontow of Sarasota, Florida; sister, Doreen (Keith) Poulson of Fairmont, Minnesota; three brothers, Trent (Belinda) Pontow of Florida, Glenn (Laura) Pontow of Norco, California; Darren (Trina) Pontow of Sarasota, Florida; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother and her grandparents and other relatives.
