| | | Allan Ray Kruse was born May 5, 1941 in rural Fairmont, Minnesota to Harold and Alice (Hinrichs) Kruse. His family moved to rural Ormsby in 1947 where he attended country school and graduated from Trimont High School in 1959. Following graduation he served in the Army until 1963. He returned to the Ormsby/Odin area and farmed with his dad and brother and worked at the elevator in Ormsby. He was united in marriage to Nancy Hagen on March 10, 1968 at Long Lake Lutheran Church, rural St. James, Minnesota. They farmed in rural Odin. Allan also served as a director for Fairmont Farmers Mutual for many years. For the past several years he has worked part time at Trimont Greenhouse and Floral which he loved. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont where her has served in various offices. Allan enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family having bonfires, picnics in the park and since Christmas Wii bowling with his grandchildren. He also liked spider solitaire on the computer, crossword and sudoku puzzles.
Allan died on Monday afternoon, August 4, 2008 at the Fairmont Medical Center-Mayo Health System at the age of sixty-seven.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Kruse of rural Odin, Minnesota; four daughters, Stacy and her husband ,Cory Ebeling of rural Trimont, Minnesota, Laura and her husband, Dan Addabbo of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Melissa Kruse of Plymouth, Minnesota and Amber Kruse of Overland Park, Kansas; four grandchildren, Jacob and Katie Ebeling, Daniel and Nicole Addabbo; brother, Joel and his wife, Billeye Kruse of rural Ormsby, Minnesota; sister, Joyce Hillmer of Fairmont, Minnesota; mother-in-law, Muriel Hagen of Ormsby, Minnesota; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry Hagen of Fairmont, Minnesota, LeeAnn and her husband, Doug Nibbe of rural St. James, Minnesota, Kari and her husband, David Lorenz of Elk River, Minnesota; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Allan was preceded in death by father-in-law Vernon Hagen, brother, Bob Kruse and other relatives.
Interment will be in Long Lake Lutheran Cemetery in rural St. James, Minnesota.
