| | | Ronald Chester Schafer was born on June 29th, 1933 in Cohasset, MN to Chester & Vivian (Carlson) Schafer. He received his education in Sherburn School. He grew up, lived and worked in the Sherburn area. His passions and hobbies have always been farming. He married Beverly (Becker) on September 27th, 1953 at the Sherburn Assembly of God church. He was a loving husband and father. He especially loved his grandchildren. His faith in God was always foremost in his life and he was very involved as a member of the Assembly of God church. He will be greatly missed by all.
Ronald died on Thursday afternoon, May 8, 2008 at Chateau Assisted Living in Rochester, Minnesota at the age of 74 due to complications from a Traumatic Brain Injury.
In addition to his wife, he was survived by his daughters, Jeri (Henry) Stenger of Munich Germany, Teri (Gary) Lindberg of Portland, Oregon, Sara (Craig) Perkins of Austin, Minnesota, Lisa (Perry) Line of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Siblings include Joan(Derry)Harris and Jeanette(Bruce)Haugen of Sherburn, MN, Wendell(Millie)Schafer and Angie(Jerry)Broberg of Minneapolis, MN and Mary(Jerry)Gwillan of Sycamore, ILL as well as many nieces and nephews and other realtives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter and other realtives.
