Kenneth R. “Junior” Williams, age 49, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at his home. He was born June 21, 1962 in Waterloo, the son of Kenneth R., Sr. and Lois Benedict Williams. Ken graduated from Waterloo East High School with the Class of 1981. He married Helen M. Jordan in 1984 in Nashua. They were later divorced. Ken worked at the Jet Lounge in Waterloo for many years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, telling jokes, laughing and spending time with his second family at the Jet Lounge. Survivors include 2 daughters, Maryanne Williams and Kerianne (David) Britton both of Waterloo; 5 grandchildren; his father, Kenneth R. Williams Sr. of Waterloo and his longtime companion, Charlene Dunn of Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Robert Dyer and a sister, Sharon Dyer. Family directed graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Gethsemane Garden in Waterloo. Family and Friends are invited to a luncheon to be held after the service at the Jet Lounge, 451 W. Parker Street, Waterloo, IA 50703. The Garden View Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family.
