| | | Jimmy A. Morris, age 59, of Waterloo, died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.
He was born April 22, 1952 in Waterloo, the son of James Morris and Shirley Fowlkes. Jimmy was raised by his mother and stepfather James Lindsey. He graduated from Waterloo East High School with the Class of 1970. Jimmy married Mary Shirley in September, 1970 and they were later divorced. He later married Lori Lynn Smith on February 24, 2004 in Negril, Jamaica.
Jimmy worked as a carpenter for Harting & Hunemuller for 21 years.
Survivors include his wife, Lori of Waterloo; 3 children, April Marie (Kreg) Johnson, Chad Allen (Amanda) Morris and Kerrie Ann Webb, all of Cedar Falls; two stepsons, Don (Ashley) Smith of Wichita, KS. and Dylan Smith of Memphis, TN; 4 grandchildren, Casey, Jaymee, Ethan and Jacob; 5 siblings, Terry (Pam) Morris of Waterloo, Vickie (Dan) Goodin and Debbie (Tony) Mervin, all of Waterloo, Mark (Lori) Lindsey of Evansville, IN and Kevin (Susie) Lindsey of Council Bluffs, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Shannon Morris.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, 3146 Kimball Avenue, Waterloo. Public visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.

Jimmy loved his family and his faithful dog, Gunnar. He enjoyed his work, golfing and was a Chicago Bears fan.
