| | | Douglas A. “Doug” Thomas, 44, of Gilbertville, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at home of natural causes.
He was born August 10, 1967 in Waterloo, the son of Robert D. and Kathryn A. Wirtz Thomas.
Doug was a cook at Buckets in Jesup.
He is survived by two brothers, Jeff Thomas of Gilbertville, and Roger (Salina Youngton) Thomas of Gilbertville; two sisters, Amy Thomas of Cedar Falls, and Melissa (Shawn) Thomas-McKinley of Traer; one nephew, Devin McKinley and one niece, Shelby McKinley.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Chad Thomas.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with inurnment in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Eagle Center at a later date. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
