| | | Esther L. Wolfgram, 93, of Waterloo, died Friday at New Aldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls.
She was born May 25, 1918 in Readlyn, daughter of John and Bertha Schweer Thurm. She married Paul F. Wolfgram on December 2, 1938 in Readlyn. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1991.
Mrs. Wolfgram was a member of the Air Stream Club, was a volunteer at Allen Hospital for a number of years, and loved bowling and all church activities
Esther is survived by one son, Galen (Millie Droste) Wolfgram of Dublin, Ohio; two daughters, Lavonne (Gene) Kempe of Richmond, Texas, and Diane (Gary) Hansen of Waterloo; nine grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and a special friend, Bob Cool.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ervin and Roy Thurm; one granddaughter, Wendy Youngs, and one great grandson, Jeffrey P. Diekmann.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball and one hour before services at the church.
Memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church or Gideons International.
