Wallace D. Taylor, age 73, of Waterloo, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at Allen Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 3, 1936 in Caldwell, Missouri, the son of Ambrose and Juanita (Whitlock) Taylor. Wallace was united in marriage with Nellie F. Brooks on June 26, 1955 in Kennett, Missouri.
Wallace worked for Harvestore, John Deere & Co. and later drove semi-trailer trucks.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie of Waterloo; a daughter, Cheryl F. Taylor of Waterloo; three sons, Darrell L. (Lynn) Taylor of Waterloo, Cleveland W. "Bub" (Cindy) Taylor of Cedar Rapids and Allen J. Taylor of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Adam L. Taylor, Kimberlee M. Taylor, Kaitlyn M. Taylor, Kyle A. Taylor and Drew M. Peters; a great grandson, Gabriel Taylor; and two brothers, Hurschell Taylor and his friend Charlotte Hansen of Brooklyn, IA and Danny (Tula) Taylor of Mesa, AZ.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; a son Kendall A. Taylor on September 3, 1975 and a brother, Homer Taylor.
No visitation or services are planned. Cremation rites will be accorded with inurnment in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Garden View Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
