Our Guiding Principles

. . . That all shall be provided with a respectable Christian Burial, regardless
      of their means.

. . . That people of all faiths shall be served.

. . . That all staff members should be courteous, dignified and considerate.

. . . That all fees be shown in plain figures, and that every family be given
      unrestrained freedom of choice.

. . . That we constantly adhere to professional ethics and a code of unselfish
      service to mankind.

    A bit of history . . . .

Our firm was started in 1928 by Alfred LaFrania and Harry Bennett. Mr. Bennett died in 1930. His son, Dale, who had also been working in the funeral home took over his Dad's interest and continued until 1941 when he sold his interest to Mr. LaFrania. Mr. LaFrania continued until 1952 when it was purchased by Gerhart Burkart who operated the business until his death in 1963. Since January 1, 1964, it has been owned and operated by Edwin S. Horan.

In May, 1973, Mr. Horan purchased the Mason-Weber Funeral Home and in June, 1974, the two firms merged into one at our present location.

We offer ample off-street parking for our visitors and patrons. A member of our staff is on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our firm is dedicated to the advancement of the funeral profession and to the best possible service for the public. Our firm promotes high ethical, professional and business standards. We adhere to a professional attitude of serving the public with understanding, honesty and sincerity.

We believe the funeral director's first duty is to those he serves, and that he must adapt his services to their wishes. In addition, we realize there are few persons who can afford to ignore price, no matter what they are purchasing. Consequently, we offer a wide and representative selection, something proper and appropriate for any family's needs.

Our continued pledge will be to make our service dignified, appropriate and reasonable.

Thus, we truthfully believe our present funeral home offers the Chippewa Falls area the finest kind of funeral facility. We care about the families we serve because we have been proud to be a family owned and operated funeral home in Chippewa Falls since 1928.
